Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

So it took forever for me to get around to writing this. I have missed finishing a book every week and being able to post about. I read this back in August when it came out but I never got around to writing a review. Here it is, two months later. Ladies and Gents say it with me it Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Let me say, it was such a fantastic book! I know I say that about most books, but it is only because I do not finish books I do not like. This was the first book in a while that I have been able to fly through. I finished it in two days and only because I had to read my summer reading before I could read the play. There's been a lot of controversy over wether the book was good as a play. Being a theatre nerd, I absolutely loved it.  I think it read very smoothly for a play. Most plays are hard to read and choppy. I didn't find that to be the case this time.
Here is a quick summary with out spoilers! It takes place immediately after the epilogue scene in the final and movie. It takes us on an adventure with Albus Serverus and his best friend Scorpius. Scorpions is Draco Malfoy's son. The book follows the descendants of the main characters in the originals. The play changes time periods very, very quickly. Act one is extremely over dramatic and full of the boys getting in trouble. Act two the heat builds up even more. The two travel through time and multiple time lines trying to restore the time line back to how it was originally. That's all I'm going to reveal for now!

Happy Reading,
A Book Nerd
